Kara Glynn / Quality Assurance Architect
Kara almost left architecture to become a professional chef, but lucky for RPH, cooking has remained an avocation and we enjoy the benefits of her 20+ years of architectural expertise. A 1995 graduate of Virginia Tech, Kara is particularly skilled with codes and specifications, ensuring exceptional drawings. She also acts as an advisor and mentor to RPH’s staff. Kara is well-respected by her colleagues in the industry, making her an asset to the firm. Yet nowhere is Kara more dedicated than at home where she is the busy mother of two children.
Kerry Font / AIA / Project Architect
Curating the built environment one building at a time to create spaces for people is Kerry's underlying vision for architecture. With a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Environmental Building Design from the University of Pennsylvania, Kerry brings a wealth of knowledge to the firm. Complimenting her education is her passion for the built environment. Kerry enjoys working through the big ideas, the diagrams and underlying narratives that resonate through a project, from the massing to the details. Her true passion lies in working on housing projects and knowing that she is making a better place for someone to live, directly improving their quality of life through architecture. During time outside of the office, Kerry can be found spending quality time with her husband on the water, boating, fishing or crabbing, playing tennis, gardening and cooking.
Rob Lang / PMP / Project Architect
Rob's credentials as a Project Management Professional means he is an expert navigator of all project stages, and his attention to detail results in every element of a project being thoughtfully worked out, from foundation details to construction staging. Very early on, as a construction apprentice, Rob learned to assemble virtually every component of a house from footing to ridge vent. This experience set the foundation for understanding the systems involved in the design and construction process and the knowledge gainer carries over into the project studio. With Rob's careful eye, details are not missed. As the early bird of the office, Rob likes to scooter in before the sun rises, so he can spend summer afternoons sailing, or spending time with his wife Alyson and their two cats, Cal (Ripken Jr.) and Justin (Tucker), cheering on Baltimore sports teams.
Jaclyn Nagy / LEED AP BD+C / Staff Architect
Jaclyn’s creative spirit extends well beyond the field of architecture. As a recent graduate of the Catholic University of America, Jaclyn seeks out opportunities both inside and outside the studio to continuously learn. From taking a ceramics class at Maryland Hall to documenting her travels in sketchbooks, she is always teaching herself something new. In the studio, this translates into intricate building design or working through the complex construction process with a client. When Jaclyn is not learning something new, she can be found tucked in a corner with a good book or designing and painting cornhole boards for her friends and family.
Andrew Watts / Staff Architect
Andrew's eagerness to solve problems and find solutions to complex architectural challenges has proved to be an asset in the studio on many projects. Whether he is working through the spatial challenges of a storage facility or the code requirements of an affordable housing unit, Andrew seeks to find answers. As a recent graduate of Catholic University of America, Andrew's knowledge base is saturated with the latest technologies and architectural expertise and supplemented by his minor in Financial Management. His interests outside of the office are just as diverse; from piano playing to playing soccer and his latest venture: learning to golf. When not playing sports, Andrew spends quality time with his wife, Peggy.
