Zion Towers is one of RPH’s most recent affordable housing projects, located in Baltimore, MD. RPH has developed plans for South Builders, Inc. to update interior finishes and fixtures and install energy efficient lighting and energy efficient hot water heaters, in the 211-unit apartment building. 11 of those units will also be renovated to comply with UFAS accessibility code requirements for those with disabilities, and 8 will be modified for the hearing and visually impaired. All common areas including the lobby, laundry room, multipurpose room, and Beauty Salon will also be updated and brought to current accessibility code standards.
RPH has assisted with creating construction drawings and specs for the funding application, which was submitted to the Maryland Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program. The building permit application is currently being reviewed by Baltimore City. We look forward to continuing work with Southway and are excited as always to be involved in affordable housing solutions in our community.
